ABOUT

My work is a living document of memory and the present—a continual unfolding of my personal history and cultural heritage. Influenced by my childhood in the Dominican Republic, I draw on the sensory landscape of rural life—the vibrant hues, the tactile impressions, and the interplay of light and shadow—to reassemble familiar images into new, fragmented forms. In creating collages on wood panels, I deconstruct the traditional forms of the human figure, challenging conventional representations through abstract, layered compositions. This process is less about replicating reality and more about reimagining identity and presence, inviting viewers to witness the complexity of memory and emotion through a language of color, form, and texture.
